Servings: 6 Servings
Course: Dinner, Lunch, Main Course
Cuisine: American
Ingredients Method Notes

Ingredients

  • 1 Package Medium shells cooked al dente
  • 2 Cans Albacore Tuna in Water 7 oz drained
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup about 2.5 cups
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar, Jack, Colby, or Mix
  • 1 Large Sweet Onion diced
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Method

Preheat Oven
  1. Set to 350°F (175°C)
Prepare Pasta
  1. Cook the medium shells al dente (firm to the bite), as they will continue cooking in the oven.
  2. Rinse and drain the pasta, put in a bowl and mix with a little bit of EVOO to prevent clumping.
Make the Tuna Mixture
  1. Mix the Cream of Mushroom Soup, Diced Onion, Shredded Cheese, and salt & Pepper
Assemble Casserole
  1. Mix tuna mixture into pasta
  2. Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
Initial Bake
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. This allows the casserole to heat through without drying out.
Add Croissant Crumbles
  1. After 20-25 minutes, remove the foil, sprinkle the croissant crumbles over the top, and return to the oven.
Final Bake
  1. Bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the crumbles are golden brown and crisp.

Notes

Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving to let the casserole set. Enjoy!

Why Some of Our Recipe Images Are AI-Generated

We believe that a recipe's value is in its flavor, not just its looks. Sometimes, the Major forgets to snap a picture because the food is too good to wait for, or a recipe is simply too old and a photo was never taken. The Major personally verifies all images to insure they accurately represent the dish. Major Grubbage™ is committed to replacing all images with authentic photos as the site grows, but until then, we hope you'll dig in with the same enthusiasm that makes us forget the camera.
