Why Some of Our Recipe Images Are AI

September 18, 2009 · Major Grubbage · Leave a Comment

We know you’ve noticed that some of our recipe images are AI-generated, and we want to be transparent about why. It all comes down to a simple, honest truth: the food here is often too good to wait for a photo op.

AI Generated Recipe Images

Sometimes, the Major gets so focused on making a dish that he forgets to snap a picture before it’s devoured. Other times, a fantastic old family recipe is found and written down, but he just hasn’t had the chance to remake it yet. And let’s be real, some of the bold, rustic dishes we make—like a hearty stew or a skillet full of glorious grub—aren’t always the prettiest things to photograph, even if they’re delicious.

We believe that a recipe’s value is in its flavor, not just its looks. The AI images you see on Major Grubbage are carefully selected to accurately represent the dish, and the Major personally verifies each one to ensure it captures the essence of the meal. As our site grows, we’ll be replacing these temporary images with authentic photos of the dishes made from our recipes.

Until then, we hope you’ll dig into these recipes with the same enthusiasm that makes us forget the camera.

Why Some of Our Recipe Images Are AI-Generated

We believe that a recipe's value is in its flavor, not just its looks. Sometimes, the Major forgets to snap a picture because the food is too good to wait for, or a recipe is simply too old and a photo was never taken. The Major personally verifies all images to insure they accurately represent the dish. Major Grubbage™ is committed to replacing all images with authentic photos as the site grows, but until then, we hope you'll dig in with the same enthusiasm that makes us forget the camera.
